His Grace Mar Benyamin Elya
His Grace Mar Benyamin Elya serves as Chairman of the Assyrian Christian Schools and as Bishop of the Diocese of Victoria and New Zealand within the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church of the East. He also serves as Secretary of the Holy Synod. Through his leadership and ministry, His Grace provides spiritual guidance and supports the ongoing mission of the Church, while remaining deeply committed to the education and formation of future generations.
As Chairman of the Assyrian Christian Schools, His Grace provides leadership and guidance in ensuring our schools remain firmly grounded in the Christian faith while pursuing excellence in education. He is a strong advocate for preserving the Assyrian language, heritage and culture, and for nurturing students who are confident in their identity, strong in their faith and prepared to serve their Church, community and wider society with integrity, wisdom and compassion.
