Our students’ curiosity and enthusiasm were ignited during Science Week as they engaged in a
myriad of captivating experiments, hands-on activities, and scientific discoveries.
St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School is a faith-based Christian co-educational School established in 2002, affiliated with the Holy Apostolic Assyrian Church of the East.
It offers classes from Kindergarten to Year 6. We provide students of any background a unique education based on 21st century pedagogy in order to equip them with necessary skills to be active Australian citizens, reflecting the faith, heritage, language and culture of the Assyrian Church of the East.
The School commenced its very first term of teaching on 30 January 2002 with just 86 students. Currently, St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School provides educational services to over 700 students including Religious Studies, Assyrian Language and all NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Key Learning Areas.
The School’s motto is ‘Haimanoota, Yartoota and Yulpana’ which translates to ‘Faith, Heritage and Education’.
At St Hurmizd, we invite you to tour our School during a normal school day to experience student life just as our students do.
Parents are welcome to book a private tour of the School before or after lodging an enrolment application.
The strength of our School lies in the fact that it is a friendly community that warmly welcomes parents as well as students.
We adhere to a whole school approach to promote positive behaviour and a safe and supportive environment.
