Christian Studies is at the heart of teaching and learning at St Hurmizd Primary School.

The program is based on the faith, traditions, teachings and doctrines of the Assyrian Church of the East.

Through our teaching and living the Christian faith, we aim to pass on to the students an understanding and love of Jesus Christ, as well as a respect for themselves and others as people of God.

Our Christian Studies program allows students to develop skills, values and attitudes that will help them to be active members of their faith community.

We believe it is important to develop healthy values and positive character traits in our students.

We endeavour to equip our students to be:

· Honourable

· Thoughtful

· Open-minded

· Well-adjusted

· Informed

· Reflective

· Inquirers

· Thinkers

· Effective communicators

· Risk-takers
